Microsoft is doing it again! This time they are being the leader in creating a national (and eventually global) health record storage data portal that '...empowers consumers to take charge of their own health information.' The tag line for the Microsoft Health Vault Conference was 'BE WELL. CONNECTED.' There were about 750 attendees from various health industries and the overall atmosphere was positive, attentive and excited. Microsoft is onto something - trying to connect Hospitals, Health Care Associations, Laboratories, Health & Fitness Device Manufacturers, and end users such as patients and families. This could turn the entire health record keeping system upside down!
